Default I'm new to this investing thing. Need help

Hi. I'm a 26 year old male. Who has just recently left his job in order to cash out his retirement plan. I have roughly $30,000 to start investing. I want to invest for a living. I'm only 26 so I feel that I can afford some risk. I'm like so many people who was just tired of the 9-5 everyday grind every week just to make ends meet( and I mean they were barely touching). I am willing to do whatever it takes( I have nothing but time on my hands to do all the necessary homework that Jim so persistently suggest. I have read both Insane Investing and Watch TV Make Money. I am about half way through the book Options Made Easy( it's a pretty good read too). I am very interested in trading in options. Options seem like the best way to get the best bang for your buck(for lack of better words). I'm very ambitious and somewhat still young. I'm just looking for anyone with options experience who wouldn't mind mentoring me online, over the phone, or in person. (The in person one may be a bit unrealistic if you're not from the Cleveland Ohio area). Or anyone with some websites to direct me to, to help me get started. I would greatly appreciate you for your time.

P.S. Does anyone have experience with these option alert services: Mad Money Options and The Streets Options Alerts? Let me know if they are worth looking into.

I would avoid options. Likely you will end up with nothing within no time without EXTENSIVE knowledge of how to play them. Not a newbie's game in my opinion. With $30,000 you can't really invest for a living, expecially in this day and age. I say go back and beg for your job back. Or find another one and invest on the side. Anything under half a million dollars you can't even think about 'investing' for a living in my opinion.
