Default January 2007 Trading Simulator contest - First Prize $100.00

I have set up another trading simulator for January - 1st prize is $100, 2nd and 3rd prizes are trading books.

If you already played in previous competitions, you already have an account and your can join the January contest with the same username and password by going here. If you have forgotton the game password, which you need to join the January contest, just email me and I will send it to you.

If you are new to the simulator, you can join at anytime up to January 23. This thread will be used to discuss the game and post updates on the standings.

You start with $100,000 and you can trade stocks long or short. Whoever has the highest amount at the close of trading on January 31, 2007 wins.

The trading simulator/contest is open only to registered members of this forum. (Registering is free!)

Send me a private message and I will send you the link and password for your free sign up.

Thierry, Im just curious, since I won this in August, what is supposed to be the normal time limit for payment for winning?? I brag to the wife about winning and all i hear is "When is that guy going to acutally pay you?" or "Does he actually pay anyone for winning?" and my ALLLL time favorite "Your so full of ****, I dont believe you really won any stupid ass contest"

So could you do me a favor and give some sort of timeline as to when I might get it so can get her off my back???

And by the way, it's kind of a bummer and hard to really get into the other contests when I really dont believe their is actual cash winnings.....

I guess I should just be happy with bragging rights?

Maybe the check is in the mail trying to find timbuktoo. Thierry runs a few months behind generally, he has an Irish name but a Scotch purse

Aiki, not to be nosy but I must know how the hell you knew yesterday afternoon Mills Corp was going to announce that buyout today. Your propensity to nail these things is absolutely ridiculous. Are you just that good? haha

My screens picked it up when B of A downgraded it, then a report of a buyout at 20, that gave me a big upside versus a small downside at $14, when I saw volume going in I started buying. I almost considered taking profit before it closed tuesday, but volume was coming in right until the bell, and the Israeli's were talking $21. Then I came home last night (the market opens at 1:30am here) and saw trading was suspended and I knew it was gonna be a good day. I put in a market sell when it went through $21 and got $21.30 on avg.

And am I that good, nah, just on a good roll lately.

You have my word you will receive your prize within 10 days from today. I'm really sorry about this delay.

I'm on the record here, so you can come back and trash me if I don't keep my word.
