Default Weekly Stock Challenge 1/12/2007 - Win Free Trading Book

Stock Picking Challenge

Pick the highest percentage mover and win a free hardcover copy of Conquer the Crash!

Pick any stock that trades in the US market that closed at $2.00 or over with at least 100,000 share volume as of the Monday close before the contest.

Your entry price will be the market open price on Tuesday morning. (It is usually Monday morning but we lost the data for the last few days so we changed it for this week.)

Entries for following week's challenge opens at Friday's market close - 4:00 pm EST - and closes at 9:00 am EST Monday.

A brief rationale for your pick makes the contest more fun.

We lost all the data for the last few days so the contest this week will start on Tuesday morning to give those that already posted their picks to repost them.

I am picking Apple (AAPL) because of the speculation about their new phone.

Redhook Ale Brewery - HOOK

Continued investor interest in merger talks between Redhook Ale Brewery Inc. and Widmer Brothers Brewing Co.

I'll drink to that.

COWN ... got burned last week but it bounced off of it's 10 week MA on Friday. Most of my momentum stocks took hard nosedives (sold out of GROW when it failed to break back through $60 and now waiting to see if it finds support at it's 10 week MA around $52) .
