Was it Cramer who explained ATYT has perfected and gone into production with a whole suite of chips necessary for digital TV? If this is true (HA! - like SBL was true!), ATYT should see a lot of sales growth. Along the same lines, I notice OLED has a patent on the last leading-edge technology breakthrough (long-life blue color) that will make large-screen LCD's much cheaper.... once it goes into production everyone will be able to afford a 60" flat panel. Still, this is LCD and not plasma, and even they admit a peak isn't foreseen for a couple years as the technology is implemented into manufacturing. That's a long time to wait for a payback.

Here it is late October and it's looking like you should have held on to NVDA.

I bought some in late April and @ $22 and have run it up to $32 for a gain of over 40%. In the same time frame, ATYT has lost over 15% of it's value. At least you made a nice return on NVDA while you held it.

Personally, I'd take the 13.95 after hours high Cramer created in ATYT because it is now working off a confirmed top, but that's just me. As far as NVDA all I gotsta say is one word. YIKERS! Well, some fokes may be sorry they missed the chance to buy at $22 so I'll see what I can do. Looks like Cramer has gone from faulty anal-ysis to random guessing on his new plays. Watch Cramer's ratings tumble quicker than NVDA will starting tomorrow. Maybe CNBC will replace him with a dartboard and a monkey. Well, at this point all they really need is the dartboard.

Yeah, yeah. I'm a piggy piggy. I was VERY tempted to sell when it broke $33 in September for a 50% gain, but I was a greedy bastage. I got a 2nd chance on Tuesday and balked again. I well, I may have to get out tomorrow & settle for 40%.

If I don't know much about these stocks ... but nVidia is the better chip company. Lately they've beat Ati to the punch with all the new technologies and have better perfoming boards. It seems as though nVidia has had quite a run up so I probably wouldn't recommend either.

Default I agree with Cramer rationale on ATYT

Stock will run up. The hype on the new XBox will be huge. Components makers will benefit. Look at how well PLAY ran with AAPL hype for all those months.
Holding ATYT and expect it to run up right into the Christmas season. Am I holding it for fundamentals. No. Holding it for the extremely likely hype that will surround the whole XBox rollout. MSFT had good earnings tonight too. More favorable publicity on the whole rollout coming..
Just imho.
We'll see....

This does seem like a bit of a random bet from Jim. As Booyahoo's chart can just about see past the end of his nose he's right that this will tumble tomorrow so you better not buy now or first thing in the morning. But neither him nor Jim knows if hype will truely push this up for a decent trade when the Xbox is coming out.
