Default Domestic Automakers

Friday's (11/7) Fast Money broadcast had me sit back and say "HMMM". Here I am in Detroit and wondering why the panel and the audience is so anti-USA automaker. Yes, we in Detroit have made mistakes, we understand that and we are correcting our errors. With our new leadership, we are changing as quickly as possible. However, did Detroit cause oil prices to rise to $150 a barrel? Did Detroit cause the financial melt down to occur? As you know, these two events have caused the consumer's demand to change practically overnight. However, the people in yesterday's forum, who were directly involved in the above two events, want to ridicule an industry that simply was providing what the US consumer desired. Now, Detroit is asking for assitance to help us through this turbulent time and this is frowned upon by these "experts" in New York. Does not the assistance requested by the US automakers seem small compared to what the financial industry has requested? Why does Eurpoe, Japan, Korea and China covet their automakers and will help them however possible, but the USA wants our domestic automakers to disappear? I do not have the answers but I think these other countries understand how important the domestic automakers are to their economies. So, if nothing else, please think about how the rest of the world treats their automakers. Finally, New York and Washington, please remember how GM was cited by Greenspan for helping the economy after 09-11 with 0% financing and how all three Detroit automakers always rush to help our fellow citizens in time of need. I ask you to search how much help comes from the "transplants". May God bless you.
