Default Registered with Scottrade, and I'm a little miffed.

Finally got registered with Scottrade, and I gotta say I'm a little miffed. Unless I'm missing something here, I can't get intraday charts with a basic account? Or anything other than a candlestick or bar chart? I'm hoping it's just that I haven't discovered all the features yet. Anyone trading with them able to offer any insight?

I started with Scottrade a few months ago. You are right not much there. Some money from a dividend came into my account this week and I cant find anywhere on my account view to see where it came from. I did get 3 free trades and the guy that referred me got 3 also. Good luck.

Scottrade Elite has a whole assortment of screens available, however you need at least 25,000 in your account.
Dividend deposits are in your account info, but I don't recall exactly where.

Well I'm really used to using sharebuilder but it's more of a long term investor than a trading website. Software and info is good though. Their transaction record is great. What's surprised me is the great prices they get for the shares I tell them to buy and sell. They always seem to buy below the quote and sell above it. Can't argue with that! $4 trade price is irrelevant.

Guess I'm re-thinking my comments about Scottrade. Yeah, since I still have a majority of capital locked in that stupid bond fund, I'm not able to buy into Scott's "Elite" system. But...I still like and use the other charting sites I always have, and hey, I gotta remember, the bottom line reason I went with Scottrade is for the cheap trade costs. So in that, I really have no complaints.

I have 2 accounts with Scottrade, an IRA as well as a regular trading account. Recently Scottrade came out with a newer version, however the older one is still available. I have to say, the older layout is easier to navigate. With the newer version, if you know what youre looking for, you should be able to find it.

I have been extremely satisfied with Scottrade. The customer service is outstanding. I have not had a single problem with them.

umassjsp, to look at all your credits/dividend payments, click on the "account information" tab, then click on Financial history link on the left. It will show all the interest you have received, as well as any dividends.

I dont use Scottrade elite, but still have the ability to see the live ticker, aswell as all available charts. If you cant find something, call your local Scottrade branch. They are very friendly, and dont judge you by the amount of money in your account.

I am a lot for my trades on Banc of America Investments - $19.95 - but I feel I get a lot for that money, so I don't want to switch. I just have to adjust my trading to accommodate it and not buy and sell so much. That's probably good, since my biggest mistakes were selling too early to try and cash in, lost more money that way than anything else at this point, so lesson learned. I hope!
