Jobless Claims – Is the Recession on its Last Legs? The National Bureau of Economic Research has yet to announce whether or not the U.S. economy is experiencing a recession. Two consecutive quarters of declines in real GDP have not been reported. But, there have been two quarterly dips in the gross domestic income (GDI). And then there are the naysayers denying the possibility of a recession, particularly after the revised 3.3% jump in real GDP in the second quarter. And here comes along
