streaming quotes is a bandwidth hog... like streaming music and videos....

animalinvest- how old are you/what grade are you in?
im in 9th grade and typically I spend the first 10 minutes or last 10 minutes of lunch in the library checking out stocks...I think Im the only one in my school that knows about the stock market- I get a lot of questions like -what is that? LOL.. I always wonder how the stock market is doing while im stuck in class.... |

if you are allowed to get yahoo intsant messenger, that is what I use to keep up at work. The quotes aren't instant, but it does notify you when limits you set, are crossed.

thanks for the replys. I haven't done any research on palm pilots or blackberrys yet, but that's now something I will do. (I guess I should get a blackberry soon if I am going to.) LosLobos I am the same way, but anytime I have down time at school I am soaking up as much knowledge as I can. Oh by the way I am in 11th grade. Many kids at my school are always asking how much money have I made and that usually leads into a long monologe of every recent transaction I have done in the past week. I am trying to tone it down on how much I divulge to my peers, but it's so hard not when I see that they get more excited then I do when I make money, and it's not even their's. Has anyone showed any interest in making investments after you talked to them? I have atleast four kids saving money right now to open an account. (too bad i have a custodial account otherwise I would get free trades through Scottrade for everytime they put me as a reference.)
ps. that is a big no on the messenger. My school is pretty big nazis when it comes to websites. It's just a matter of time before I can't go to stock sites at all. |
