Cramer mentioned this stock today. I do not know much history on the stock besides looking at the chart. I do know that my local Sonic has no parking left on the weekends and has excellent lunch traffic. They started selling breakfast but I am not on that part of town in the mornings and do not know how that goes. Any comments, looks like a solid company with growth potential.

Yeah what he was saying made a lot of sense, how they had a lot of stores in certain areas, and a healthy balance sheet will help them with the capital they'll need to expand. I live in Canada, and as far as I know we don't have any sonic's up here. (maybe in Ontario) I'm doing a little speculating with Southwest Airlines (LUV for you homegamers) right now but if that doesn't work out it'll make room for Sonic in my portfolio.

I own LUV in my investment club with 5 other people. LUV is best of breed in my opinion. They have hedged oil and have good management. You should do well in LUV, I am going to take a little off the table in my LU position and maybe buy SONC on a pullback.

I own both. SONC has done very well in my portfollio. It's a great fast food chain too, and has loads of potential growth when it comes up north and west.
LUV, yeah I bought that as a speculative play and have been disappointed. I want to dump it but it IS best of breed... and I still have a shimmer of hope. |
