Default SIRI

Watched Cramer's show a couple of weeks ago, (2 weeks yesterday), and he mentioned SIRI. After some research that night and the next morning I purchased SIRI for 5.90. Currently up just over 18% in a few weeks. I tried to follow some of his picks but he has been on oil so much lately that I quit following.

Default Siri

Iwas just about to post about sirius. I have sirius since it was about $3 sold alot at about $9 on its downswing and got back in at about $5.50, I was curious if jim has spoken about this stock. My feelings are its the future of radio and being a sirius and xm subscriber i have to say that the content on sirius blows xm away (which i think will make the difference in the long run). You have the ipod rumor, football season starting in september and howard coming on in january. I'm thinking big....

anyone have any opinions on this stock or anyone know what jim said about it?

-Joe

Default Car and Truck sales

GM just had its largest sales month in June in 19 YEARS and you know with Ford and Dodge now giving the same type of discounts that their sales will boom and in those new GM are satalite radios!

Default GM is contracted with XM - not Sirius

I believe GM is contracted with XM - not Sirius, but you're right that was a monster GM promo - check out the chart for XM from April 28 - June 28 ( http://finance.yahoo.com/q/ta?s=XMSR...50,v,e20&a=&c= ) - super great deal for XM.

Default SIRI Update

Decided to sell SIRI today at a 21.5% gain in two weeks. Not bad. GM does have the XMSR contract but I believe SIRI has Ford starting next year, Maybe Chrysler/Jeep also. I decided to make a play on the Hybrid engine and purchased ENER after I sold SIRI. With oil prices going higher I believe there will be more demand for hybrid cars.

Default Re: Siri

I also grabbed Sirius when it was about $3. I remember it was bobbing around $3 +/- 20 cents each day. I grabbed it at $2.70 and was planning on selling it at $3.20...but to my surprise, it jumped to over $9. I sold a little over half of it and held on to rest. I've seen it fall and now it seems to be on the rise again. I'm scared to sell it because I feel it has a strong lead for the future. I've figured that even if I lose all my remaining shares of Sirius, I'd still be up a health amount since I sold half at $9.
Cheers.

Default Take your pick, XM or Sirius

I believe that Don C. is recommending SIRI and did so just about 2 weeks ago. I have been singing it's praises for months now but have only recently been able to buy. I just purchased a 2005 Nissan Quest which is currently at the dealers getting my new Sirius Satellite installed. The new Nissans are all coming wired for satellite radio. Take your pick, XM or Sirius. It's nice to hear that Sirius is superior.

Sorry if you somehow got the idea that I said more are choosing Sirius. I didn't. In response to someone's comment within this message body that they thought Sirius was better is why I said it is nice to know that Sirius is superior. Anyway, I picked up the van and purchased a 3 year subscription for Sirius satelite. So far so good. The Quest comes with Bose speakers and the satelite radio sounds awesome.

I believe I either read or someone told me that the automakers have to offer a choice now between XM and Sirius, someone complained or it was considered too monopolisitc. In any case, I bought SIRI the day Howard Stern announced he was moving to it, and that he would have his own money tied to it. He will not allow his own money to go down the tubes, rest assured.
