March 2008 Trading Simulator Contest - win a trading book

I have set up another trading simulator for March - 1st prize, 2nd and 3rd prizes are trading books. The first prize winner will also have his win displayed under his name in the forum.

Once you join, you won't have to rejoin every month, I'll just reset the contest at the end of every month back to the $100,000 for everyone.

If you already played in previous competitions, you already have an account and your can join the January contest with the same username and password by going here. If you have forgotton the game password, which you need to join the January contest, just email me and I will send it to you.

If you are new to the simulator, you can join at anytime up. This thread will be used to discuss the game and post updates on the standings.

You start with $100,000 and you can trade stocks long or short. Whoever has the highest amount at the close of trading on March 31, 2008 wins.

The trading simulator/contest is open only to registered members of this forum. (Registering is free!)

Hey Guru!
It has been a close contest all month long and today I decided that in order to win it I have to make a bold move.So this afternoon I sell everything and short SOL around $12 something.I just now checked SOL's price it had dropped significantly so happily I log on to see how much ground I gained on you.To my displeasure I had gone long by mistake and am down 47k on it.Hey atleast it wasn't realy money may be next month.

Yes, it was close all month. We still have one more day to go. Anything can happen. I like this monthly contest because it helps me sharpen my tech analysis skills. The same stocks that I trade in the simulator I trade for real, except of course, I don't have $100,000
