Default Great Article on Options

If you are a trader you are familiar with "Technical Analysis of Stocks and Commodities" Magazine. In the February issue is an article titled "Buying Puts and Calls with PROVEST". Its the second in a series begun last month but it stands alone quite well.
PROVEST stands for Probability, Volatility, Expiration, Skew, and Timing.
The article will help new options players learn some concepts and more experienced players get a structured template for their options decisions.
I don't know if it's available online for free but here is the website

Aiki,

Thanks for posting this link. I couldn't locate the article you referenced but found others that were of interest to me. I don't trade options at this point and am interested in learning. I really appreciate all of the information you share in the chat and here in the forum.

Aki you cannot read the entire article without a subscription. Besides the TA of Stocks and Commodities subscription there are also offers from two other online TA services on the site. I devour the WSJ, Barron's, the Economist, and as of late the contents of this blog. I would like to subscribe to one of the services on Traders.com. They are about fifty bucks a pop and if I had to pick one: Technical analysis of Stocks and Commodities, Working Money, or Traders.com advnatige which would you recommend for a novice like myself?

The stuff you mentioned is all more advanced then most novices should spend their money on. Go to Borders and check out a copy of TA of S&C's, it'll give you an idea of the level of the site as well. If I had to choose I would say Traders.com is the most useful for novice to moderately advanced technical traders, unless you go for the whole kit which is everything for around $500. Here's a good thing they offer for free:
