I would enter if sector and/or index picks could be part of it.
I doubt I could sustain a sim contest for that long.
Maybe quarterly "mile posts" would allow new entrants and forecast revisions.

Interesting idea, Zap. Fits my view that trading is easier when T/A and Fundy analysis are in alignment.

Maybe an "Am I Diversified?" set of stocks. 5 that will be held for a year at least, in a long term portfolio. The winner might be the one who loses the least, the way this recession talk is going.......LOL

I believe MoMoney had a thread that did this exactly, though I don't think he's updated it recently.

how about "The Grand Salami"... your portfolio has to contain.. a penny stock, a stock over $10, a racehorse (with the most money winnings for the year), a nascar driver (most earnings for the year), and what month will tony romo get rid of that dumb blonde

How the hell did you get such a bad rep so soon? I don't think I even tagged you yet, but I can't remember so I'll have to pick one of your dumb posts...shouldn't be too hard to find one eh? I'm a little disappointed now as I realize I won't be able to get last place or first place, mediocrity is so unbecoming for me.
