I have read a couple post's (jacobnbr1) regarding extending option dates, was I reading them wrong or can you extend your option expiration date for a fee? I have two options that will expire Jan 21, I will take a beating on them if they do not pullback soon (GOOG being one). Can someone give me some info on this.
TIA |

you might have been misled by my postings.
the problem i had was with appl and wmb. the appl puts expire in jan and it was middle of december when i realized the puts would be deemed worthless, therefore i sold for what i could get out of them and applied the cash toward a new position longer out. i still feel the same as far as the position but changed the time lenght by paying a little more out and selling when there was still somthing to get back. if you can follow what i am saying? it is better off to be safe than sorry, i also took a small bet and placed it against the opposite direction incase i was wrong. it is called a stangle or stradle. |
