Stock Investor 3 Step Process
Search. Research. Manage SEARCH: Step One In The Stock Investor 3-Step Process, Step One, Search, is finding the needle in the hay stack. Our robust screening technology will allow you to search over 14,000 stocks and quickly locate those that are best suited to your investment objectives. The Stock Investor software provides several search alternatives. Our Pre-Built searches have been developed from our most popular search criteria. You will quickly become familiar with the types of stock each of the Pre-Built searches returns, and how to trade them successfully. Stock Investor literally provides you hundreds of search combinations. Pre-Built Searches
RESEARCH: Step Two In the 3-Step Investing Process, Step Two, Research, is broken down into two areas. Fundamental Analysis and Technical Analysis. Our automated approach to Fundamental and Technical Analysis will allow you to quickly identify the best stocks and then determine when to buy and sell those stocks. We use three key pieces of fundamental information to help you analyze and determine in a matter of minutes if the stock is a buy, hold, or sell and if it should be added to your watch list for future consideration. News
All of this can be done for free on open sources (stockfetcher for screens, marketwatch for fundie and portfolio management, prophet.net for additional analysis etc.insert additional sources here:____________. If you spend the money on the program, will you have the ability to learn "how" the screen and analysis are performed? If that is not your intent, then the system is likely fine. I would do the DD to make sure the system can adapt to changing markets as well. MANAGE: Step Three Managing your investments has never been easier. Manage is the third step in the 3-Step Investing Process. We feature portfolio tracking, watch lists, and paper trading. Each tool is designed to assist you in organizing and preparing for the next profitable trade. Portfolio

Thanks for the explanation. Do you use the program? It appears that you do since you provided the screenshots of the software.
Here's where I am presently....definitely not a seasoned investor...I've only dabbled in the market for about a year. The experience has been mostly positive. I've made some bad trades, made some good trades...overall I'm in the positive by just a couple percent (purely looking at the dollars, I'd have been better off putting my money in a CD). The learning experience has been good, however. I'm just not sure where to take it from here. Running two businesses doesn't leave much time to devote to learning how to trade in the stock market so Ross' program looked and sounded like a good place to start. Thoughts? |

I do not use and have never used or purchased a stock picking program, newsletter, or software. I understand your situation, but I recommend spending many hours researching what you want to pursue.
If I were to look at a system it would likely be eAsctrend, spooz tools, or an add-in to metastock. That would allow me to define my parameters in conjunction with the software bells and whistles. An off the shelf product picking trades for me would go against my grain in too many ways to explain. I would ask this questions and some will pass the test, others will absolutely not: Why are they offering me a system with (sometimes) incredible gain claims when they could be trading it themselves and skipping all the marketing, logistical, administrative, and accounting issues of going into the retail trader market? Good luck on your search and please let the forum know the outcome. I would love to see an off the shelf program succeed. It's just not for me at this time. |

I was looking into this for a long time and although I decided against purchasing it in the end I do think it has some good points. I also found a page you can look it with customer reviews of people who bought products from Ross Jardine
