Question Opinion of StockFetcher

I have been playing with StockFetcher.com for a while on a free basis and have enjoyed some of the free examples available. My question is whether anyone finds the service of value? I know I have seen Luc (I assume you are one and the same on the other site) on their forum offering up some advice. Any thoughts and advice would help, as I am attempting to get back into trading (not investing....big difference). Thanks!

Happy Thanksgiving

I use it and have used it for a long time. In fact, can't live without it. Don't let the forum fool you...it moves up and down. Use "search" and dig through the filter files. There is gold in there by the ton.

The beta is incredible and the staff work to add or incoporate changes quickly.

Backtesting works well and easy to design.

The cheap subscription is $8 a month I think.......too easy. And provides most likely everything you will need.

I have no affiliation with SF, but I'll endorse the hell out of a great tool any day.

Insure you claim the subscription as a trading expense.

Need any additional info, PM me.

Grunt

PS...."advice" may be a bit generous. I don't post much, but I used to participate in the chat making daily calls on the ER and ES. I also posted some initial questions long ago when I was exploring some usage of indicators (I don't use many indicators any more).

TheRumpledOne is a coding genius...search for his posts and "displays". Also wallman, stockholygrail, and mary4money. nikoschopen trades futures and very experienced.

"Muddy Method" is productive, but he has since moved on to HODs. Not sure why, because the bottom feeder strategy does produce about 65% win rate with a decent r/r and low drawdown.

Tweak the volume settings to narrow the choices. Stocks in the $40-100 range seem to work best, but I have used some cheapos with success as well.

Thanks for the plentiful info Luc, I never actually looked at StockFetcher before and just took a glance at it and I'm amazed at the many customizable features that you can partake in using in your charts. I'm going to look into the coding screeners a bit more and post back what I've managed to do. Thanks again.

PM me if needed.

I have moved along way from overcomplication to simplification.

The forums can be a bit messy....but the vast majority of subscribers do not post.

Think your questions through before posting and insure you run a search for what you are looking for. Most vets do not react well to those who appear to have not expended the needed energy in searching themselves.

Welcome to your paradigm shift.

There is so much meat in this thread it could make you sloppy sick. Using IBD 100 in conjunction with filter criteria is a long term goldmine.
