Default How do i get paid

Hello and pardon my ignorance regarding the market.
bUT WE ALL START SOMEWHERE RIGHT.

Anyways my question is how do i get paid
if i make money in the stock market?

The reason why i am asking is because a couple of days ago i pourchased some stocks and i am on the green @ 4.5% return on a 3k investment...but how do i get paid? does the money gets deposited to my account or do i have to sell my positions in order to get the money i made?

Today i am on the green my goal is to average about 150-200 bucks a day not much to ask you know...

How would i go about accomplishing this?

you make no money until you sell, so yes you have to sell. the money you paid plus the money you made will then be in your account.

Please take this in the spirit in which it is intended.
You bought a stock not knowing the most basic information about what you're doing. The chances of a good outcome over the long term are extremely low. Making 5-7.5% a day after commissions on 3k is a pipedream.
Newbies to the trading world need to know that it's a zero sum game, every trade you make has some other person on the other side of it with the belief they are on the right side. And there is a very good chance the other person is a pro, just waiting for people to show up and hand over their cash.

To answer your question as to how to go about accomplishing this. A couple thousand hours of study is a start. I am not kidding, the smartest guys in the world are your opponents in this arena, you choose how much you need to compete here.

You say we all start somewhere but the important thing is where we go from there, and blindly going into this is setting oneself up for a very costly education indeed.

Aiki, you are a generous man.

I have spent my adult life teaching, leading, mentoring, coaching, managing, motivating and inspiring warriors, but as of late I am becoming quite cynical and impatient with those outside of whom I work with.

I was ready to recommend his search for trading nowledge begin with BUYING as many get rich quick books and stock newsletters/dvds as possible.

Maybe it is the fact that we are such an "entitlement" nation and working, education, and self improvement are no longer in the equation. Lemmings cry for help when ***** happens, and someone gets stuck bailing them out EVERYTIME.

Off to a funeral for a friend.
