Default Favorite stocks under $20?

How about some suggestions for stocks under $20?

I picked up one yesterday that went on sale after they reported another great quarter, TOP Tankers (TOPT) a small Greek shipping company.

Cramer doesn't like the oil tanker sector, yet, but these guys have increased revenues hand over fist during a time when there has been a slump in rates, have long term contracts for most of their ships that include profit sharing, and are on a high growth pattern with increasing acquisitions for their fleet.

I got it to stay long. If they make this much money when rates are low, what will they make when they go back up? :)

I just picked up PetroHawk Energy (HAWK) before the closing bell, too. Keep seeing it on analysts highest rated stock list and "strong buys" all over, so I got a small load. Didn't spend much, it's under $11. :)

Cramer likes Time Warner ($18ish), look into it... if you dare .

A few I like under 20:

AMEN , SYGR, MIG, SEGU, PRZ, ICA, PSO, GT, IKN, ARRS

TACX was looking real nice, but they cancelled their deal to buy Vanguard Info-Solutions and the stock took a dive the last few days. Not sure why they cancelled the deal, but the market didn't like it.

Due your homework!

Seeing Deepinwonder's post concerning tankers, thought I would go to MSNmoney's strategy lab to see how Dlugosch has fared with OMM. I do not understand how he has a 10% gain when OMM's low on Jun3 when he bought (was he that lucky to catch it at the open?) was 19.25 and the quote in his portfolio is now 17.20. Is strategy lab a farce, or am I just mistaken. Someone please help me to understand. Also, don't understand how CBI ceo can sell stock at over twice the price at the time of the sale. Can someone help me?

OMM went above $20 at one point, maybe he sold some off. Sounds fishy, though, I agree.

Cramer reiterated that he hates the shipping sector on Friday and there was more bad news this morning from analysts. I thought it would do well with such strong earnings being reported, but it's not. I might bail. Sorry I brought it up!

HAWK is doing okay, oil, what do you want? :)

On the contrary, glad you mentioned it. Zacks has a 1 rating with only one analyst covering. Did good today. Hope you didn't dump it yesterday. Tempted to "schnitzel" a little.

Well, I did let Cramer freak me out on that tanker sector and sold it, against my initial instincts. Look at it, today, man. I am taking responsibility for that, but I really was doing a lot better with my stocks before I started paying attention to analysts. Including him. Grrr....

Default You Might Want to Look at TPX

I have been following TPX for awhile now. They will release a new cheaper model, the Original, sometime in Sept. The market was looking for a more expensive model and the stock really took a hit. TPX has reafirmed their yearly figures and the profit margin will remain the same on the new Original, per the company. We are going into mattress buying season and my opinion more people will purchse a TemperPedic once the price is lowered. Many people have balked at having to shell 3k even if they could afford it. Throw one at them for half the price and sales should increase.

Default re: mattress

We are going to buy a new foam mattress and are choosing the new latex foam ones from Sealy, because they are natural, mold and mildew proof, and (we think) more comfortable than the Temperpedic. They also don't retain body heat like the Temperpedic does. We live in the South, where it's hot and humid. I am not commenting on whether the stock will do well and everyone is different, that is just our personal taste.

Sealy filed for an IPO, recently, but I don't know when they are going to make the offering or what price per share it's going to go for, but I'm definitely interested. I agree, mattresses could be hot.
