Default Let's discuss the Fast Money show

The Fast Money show is full of trading ideas and you should join the forum now and share your thoughts about it. Do you have a favorite trader on the show? Have you followed any of the recommended trades? Do you like the show better than the Mad Money show with Jim Cramer? Both shows were created by the same producers.

Let's get this forum cracking!

I have watched Mad Money from day one, but I have to say I now prefer Fast Money. I Tivo both of them every day, but spend much more time with the Fast Money Five. I can zip through Cramer's show in less than ten minutes, but I find myself watcing the entire Fast Money show because they hit more topics and there are more opinions to consider.

I have played stocks from all four of them and really like when the guys from Option Monster are on. Did you see Adami's kids? His daughter looks just like him.

Anyway I think they are more insightful because they are still in the game while Cramer has stepped too far away from the current views of the traders.

I also like like the Fast Five more. Cramer still amuses with a particular antic now and again, but overall the lightning round wears (we love the book, we love the show, you're the best, etc.)on me and I flip and watch Britt Hume and just check the recaps.
In the past month I bought MPEL (Bolling) and lost my you know what, but last Tuesday picked up RYI @$37.50 after Najarin said to buy on unusual option activity (not mentioned in the 5/28 recap), and Bolling brought it up again and Najarin confirmed that he was an owner (not mentioned in the 5/29
recap) and I am up about 6%.

Did anyone catch the Tuesday July 3rd Fast Money? on the Final Trade, Bolling mentioned CVX and said "just in case this is my final trade"

Is he leaving the show after the holiday or is this a tell that NMX is being bought this weekend?

glad to see adami back- last money maker on that desk, imo. although fenerman (sp?) his replacement is top notch. better than either of the najarian brothers or the new tim- she should be the DH if she is available. funny how the wolf gets all the credit for straz's tech calls from months ago, eh? seems like their ratings are down, as well as mad money's.

ps- has anyone found any of the trader's myspace pages? are they more facebook folk?

Yes, let's discuss the Fast Five!

We started watching Mad Money first, and learned much from Cramer. Then we stumbled upon Fast Money and realized that Cramer seemed more for the longs, whereas the Fast Five was providing great insight for us into the shorts. Cramer does a great job, and continues to do so. I can rely on Mad Money to be dependable and regular. However, Fast Money has some real issues it appears to be struggling with. Fast Money, for us, started to become "jittery" and not smooth within the dialogue amongst the table. There appeared to be tension and it really threw off the messages completely. Then Bolling is gone, who was our favorite, as well as Strazzini and to top it off they brought in Finerman for a filler. Why not bring in someone just like Bolling instead, that can offer the same insight for his sector? And last but not least is Ratigan in the NY Times last week, or whatever it was, he actually said he would rather be hosting a late night talk show?!?!?!? ( Conan I believe ) Talk about losing credibility. He doesn't even want to be doing this, so why let him sit center stage? I am a Dylan fan, I love his quickness to move things along and appreciate his attempts to allow the viewers to understand better, but if this isn't even what he wants to be doing, where is his stake in all this? His credibility sank and after that we have all but stopped watching. Sometimes change is good, sometimes it simply isn't. Find someone to put things back together........there are people that earn their living using these informative shows as tools.
