I believe it is totally secret - they tape the show in the afternoon, and you can get arrested for discussing or trading any of the stocks before the show airs at 6:00.

A while back, the Cramer said that they started taping the show at 5.30pm EST. So, it is effectively on a 30-min delay. Apparently, this delay is so that his legion of lawyers can monitor what he says and pull the plug if necessary.

However, he also has a radio show, which I believe is posted on realmoney.com around 4pm. I don't often get to listen to this, but perhaps I should. Presumably he preaches the same sermon and mentions the same stocks as he does on Mad Money, but to a smaller audience. If there really is a "Cramer-Effect" then the radio show may be a means to get into a trade before it's mentioned on Mad Money ...?
