Katrina victims might take issue with your statement about lot's of rebuilding after a Hurricane. If it hits a populous area of Florida then yes, it will be rebuilt, however the only thing they are building in N.O. is a big ball of red tape.;)

No oil recommendations for Hurricane prep? Check those June CL futures, the volume shows someone is thinking about it.

This weekend I am adding an oil refiner, which like Goldman, wins regardless

Didcha catch "Fast Money" Thurs night? The oil trader says gas will be $3 in two weeks, and I bet he is right--When those pesky Nigerian rebels get back into the news, then we can confirm the oil traders are back in control--These traders are a sassy lot, I must say, with not even waiting around for a disaster for them to smack us down once again

New Orleans?! It is simply a breeding ground for Democrat votes

Cramer predicts the FED will cut in May, and I bet this will be a good call

Any other hurricane plays besides these:

low
gs
abb
roll
pec
(an oil refiner to be added)

Stats: June 1 is the start of the hurricane season, and August is the peak month

Well from Fast money last night you should go with BJ Services(BJS) as your oil play.

My thesis is a refiner might work best, because regardless where the hurricanes hit, there is only x-number of refiners, and even the hint of one being glazed by rain or wind should drive wholesale gasoline to $3+

Oil per se comes and goes according to the whims of traders, while the x-number of refiners remain the same--even after Katrina, we still are not even in the process of adding one more
