Certainly a solid long term investment. Don't be shaken out by near term market corrections and you should see 30% in 12 months if not more.

Been Tracking this stock Since 1997 -- I have faith in this company.... plus when they were going to do a stock split..it was a sure thing in my mind..... other then that..... dont know anything you cant find in the SEC filings... and websites/journals....

I got me some FDG also, at 32. They came up on a favorite stock screen of mine > 20% RoA and RoE, and > 1b market cap and a dividend. (it actually blew those numbers away)

Some of my other fav holdings including Souther Copper (PCU), Garmin (GRMN), and Nucor (NUE) also show up on this screen.

Yes, I traded Garmin last year and picked up about 6k in profits before moving on to other stocks. I jumped in after they missed the earnings Q3 of 2006. Garmin is a sound company and they seem to have the most innovative position in the GPS market.

Took the profits made and paid uncle sam with it. :mad:

No offense, but a very elementary question and maybe not the place to be asking it.

"A Lot" is relative to your portfolio and your buying power (BP).

100 is fine, if that's where you choose to spend $7400. IMO you'd be better off spending some of that money on much lower priced stocks.

I have to say bear, your repeated "gloaty" posts and enthusiam in this thread has annoyed me to no end. But I looked into this company in depth at around $70 and I ended up putting on a double sized long position on it.

Backed up the truck at 78.99 at the mid point of Monday. JEC will be tracked, as of Thursday, on the S&P 500 replacing Avaya (AV). This should make JEC pop even faster back to it's 52 week high. We have both had positive returns on this stock and based on all of the fundamentals and news it should continue to provide...

Of course looking back I should have bought more but I am remaining by my theory of keeping some cash (10%) on the reserve for another dip.

FRPT has been another story for me... Diversification is key...

ABB is one of my most consistently gaining stocks ever. JEC hit a new 52 week high today as did ABB! Both are closing above the 50 day EMA and 13 day EMA.

I really like the fact that ABB is working to make their energy systems more "green".
