For the last couple of days I've been experiencing extremely slow page load times on the forum, I'm not having the problem on any other sites and I've tried IE 7, Firefox and Opera with the same results. Anyone else?

I was having the same problem but it seems to be a little better today.

YES, really slow for me also.
I just loaded new s/w for my digital movie camera to stream the video to my computer... I was worried that some malicious code got in from there.
I'm at least glad to see it seems to be outside of my computer.

Hope this is not over-kill, but here is what I do:
I have found it helpful DAILY if you use Windows to do the following:
(1) Run Disk Cleanup
(2) Then reboot
Remember, Windows never discards anything without you being pro-active about completely deleting something, e.g., the TrashBin
If you listen to streaming audio, boy, does things build up
Weekly, do a Defrag, even if Defrag says you do not need it
It will cost you around $30 but I run this program to let it do "1" and "2" above as well as tuning up the registry and internet and many other things in one run
http://pcpitstop.com/
Weekends I run the following FREE programs:
http://www.ccleaner.com/
I also find this helpful:

I use the program mentioned to find Duplicate Files--BUT BE CAREFUL, SO DO THIS: CLEAN OUT YOUR RECYCLE BIN, THEN WHEN YOU DELETE DUPLICATE FILES YOU CAN FIND THEM IF YOU HAVE ANY PROBLEMS AFTER A REBOOT

Z, if it was common to all of the sites I visit, I would look inwardly for the problem. It just seems that there are intermittent periods of slow page loading here. Maybe it has to do with some troll counter-measures Thierry is implementing?

I am not having any problems here, but do try what I suggest in Steps 1 and 2 and let me know what you find
Windows really can do some spooky stuff with the way it saves everything

According to the stats I have the servers are working fine, and way under capacity. Please let me know if you have any more slowness issues. I haven't seen anything like that myself. Sometimes one server among the 10 or 20 it takes to transmit a site from point A to point B can cause problems, through no fault of our own.

Did you do a reboot right after--you need to reboot daily, because that is the nature of Windows
Have you done a Defrag--Never mind if Windows says you do not need it--then do it weekly
This site is working fine on my side of the table
I have no dog in this fight, but I let Pitstop tune up things such as cleaning up files, tuning the registry and the internet and so on, but it does cost $30, which I found it worth the money--I don't know if it offers a trial period

Haha, its so funny how you post a lot of sites on this forum, not complaining or anything or saying if you promote them or not. Thanks for all the links to the resources though.
And its not my computer; I've used three computers today: work, library, and home. Site was crawling slow at times, now its a bit better.

You will note I post sites that are FREE, but PC Pitstop isn't
However, I do note personal use and satisfaction to make a purchase worth its price, if a cost is involved
There is simply a lot of computer aids sold that are crap!
I do not want to be one of those who is trying to sneak in selling something
I let the FREE articles speak for themselves as part of Homework, which I love and do a lot of reading and research and think others might find helpful
I do not want to stir up things saying this, but I think Cramer is 100% correct about homework

Ditto. Say what you will about any specific advice he may give but advocating doing your homework should be regarded as an axiom.

Might be the area of the country you're in - we use top-notch servers, with constant scans of the network conditions and I see nothing indicating problems on this end.
