ANNAPOLIS, Md. -- One Maryland state lawmaker wants to grab the bull by the... Well, let's say it's not exactly by the horns.Delegate LeRoy Myers Jr. wants to outlaw bull testicles and other anatomically explicit vehicle doodads. He said kids shouldn't have to see plastic gonads dangling from a pickup truck trailer hitch. The bill would also apply to things such as mud flaps that show bare breasts or other body parts. But the American Civil Liberties Union is objecting. The ACLU's Meredith Curtis said the proposal is overly broard and could apply to a bumper sticker from an art museum showing Venus de Milo.

I'm sure there must be more pressing issues in Md.

Not really. Remember this is the same state that had issues with kids wearing their jeans low enough to see their boxers. I believe that bill was introduced last year and only withdrawn after much ridicule.

Old sayings are old for a reason, and say it best:

It's called fiddling while Rome burns.

Wasn't Maryland also the state that wanted to ban rock music records that Frank Zappa testified about? Geez...

The only thing I didn't like about the 'truck nuts' is that I didn't think of it and market it first, it's amazing what can be turned into a money-making enterprise these days. It's absolutely incredible that our tax dollars can be wasted arguing about whether or not they are lawful.
