well im here at the traders expo, so im seeing all the best platforms and im telling you scottrade cant touch these other ones, although scottrade has a long list of improvements for this summer which they told us about, pm me if u want to know some of them, but im looking at think or swim- good options platform but 5 bux a trade, Tradestation is cheap at 1 dollar for every hundred shares and less as u go up, IB is about the same with less of a platform IMO, im thinking about tradestation, anyone use it, heard of it, heard about it???

I will likely switch to TS when I retire and trade full-time because of the coding abilities. It is not cost effective for me now....and I don't have the time to use the platform to it's full capabilities. Same with IB. I've researched both heavily.

what do you mean svenwolf? TS will waive fees if you trade 5k shares a month...not hard, buy 1000 shares of stock xyz @20.00 and sell at 20.02 break even or even take a lose just to waive the fees. whats commision routing?

yeah, basically thats what i meant. i have been kicking around the m2m thing, and you actually get commish/ rebate for providing liquidity on, say, arca depending on the dealer. i am still on the tallest step easing in the kiddie pool, but i think that would make scalping a bit easier. take care!
