Nope, never happened.
But what do the following have in common? Like Guest3125 and Humbleone they are saved, and they sinned with prostitutes or committed rape, sodomy or sexual assault on a minor. They all seem to have Hair issues but that's another story. Here's the list in order of comic value:
Jim Bakker
Jimmy Swaggert
Ted Haggert
Francis T Gera
Glen Michael Davidowich
John Geoghan
James McCarthy
J. Kendrick Williams
Rembert Weakland
Anthony O'Connell
Larry Reynolds
Dale Amyx
I could add 100 names with 5 minutes research and 1000 with an hours research. Try to find an athiest activist with the same skeletons and nothing comes up. HMMMM, is it the religion leading to sexual deviancy or does a sexual deviant gravitate towards religion?
I believe it's religion that causes sexual perversity and aberrant behavior. I have no proof of this, just a deep faith in my righteousness, that's enough right?
Here's a perspective from the Associated Baptist News
