Since coming here in Feb 06ish, it seems like the number of good contributing people have gone down significantly, wheres the old guys who used to contribute and now all we have is a bunch of penny pushers and thats all anyone talks about on here. There has been some nice discussions on oil and real estate and all that good stuff, but it seems like only 5 people contribute to 3 pages of material. Anyone think it would be better to have a penny play section and then a section for stocks over 2 bucks 5 bucks i dont know. i skip reading all the new posts that say monster buy or $hit like that cuz i know its just some crummy penny stock, another thing i think is bad and i learned the hard way is, when i came here not knowing anything about stocks all, stupid me actually got suckered into GWGO and some other crap...i think it makes this forum look like a gambling site rather than an investing/trading site. JMO lemme know what everyone else thinks.
im all for removing the penny stocks into a single forum. not so sure id agree with only a few good contributing people. i think it depends more on the market. when things go crazy in the market, up or down there seems to be a rush of people on here with posts/ideas. when the market seems to be in limbo, like now, there's not much good stuff going on.

The thought of a penny stock section occurred to me as well after reading the "Prodigy" monster buy thread the other day.

I agree about the proliferation of penny stock shilling here...Anyone who follows Cramer should know about his admonitions against these stocks, so why post here, for surely there must be a Penny Stock forum somewhere...If the poster is legit, surely s/he would want debate with others into this form of investing, or advice
To me, active participation in a forum is the same as writing for a magazine in that Rule One is to know the publication! Cramer for us is a guru in the sense we do not slavishly follow his advice but debate the pros and cons of his advice and picks, or throw out our picks in relationships to what he advises--Our objective is to follow one of his main rules that is excellent: DO YOUR OWN HOMEWORK, PARTICULARLY ON MY PICKS!
Posters should read the various categories listed on the home page and post within the appropriate slot

Yes, thanks for the idea, I think having different forums for regular stocks and penny stocks should satisfy everyone and keep everyone out of each others hair.

Removing the penny stock discussion to a separate forum was a great idea.
I wish all sites were as responsive as this one. Good job, Thierry.

Ditto, although I still visit the penny area to satisfy my voyeuristic side.

I would have done a "big board" and "OTC/penny/pinks" instead regardless of price.
But what you've done Thierry is very nice and im sure it helps some people here; although i'll be in both.
Jim, how was your trip(s)?? did you get us anything??

Maui was pleasant, Tassie is the best place on earth. That's where I am going to die. (After a lengthy retirement  )
