Well you have FXI already but I was looking seriously at one the chinese exposure stocks in the IBD 100: MR. It's doing a pullback at the moment so I'm waiting for entry.
LRCX might be good too.

IBD is based on RSI and momentum - it's O'Neil's baby, and really only works well in a bull market, where momentum moves to the upside carry higher outsized gains for growth stocks than they do for value stocks.
It's a treacherous method in a flat or down market, though, as it has a very high beta.
Now is not the time for an IBD type investment move - 2003 and 2004 would have been.

very well put jack- my few experiences with the ibd 100 have been less than profitable. additionally, i feel their big misses get swept under the rug with the price criteria: something blows up and *poof* its off the list. perhaps instead of sites comparing Cramer to a chimp, someone would have the gumption to compile the "ibd 100 graveyard" which imo should give honorable mention to gorrilla's pump and dump and the multitude of other "sell" based material advertised by cnbc and their ilk. if you dont do your own dilegence, how can you really expect much other than getting lucky or taking a loss? sounds like vegas, minus the free booze.

I'm watching MR too. Being on the list is one thing, they are also being bought by some mutual funds, I'm trying to do my DD on which funds before I buy. Its also a chinese play.

I've also had bad experiences with IBD 100 but have seen some massive gains. Its true that stocks show up on the list when they have momentum so you have to be cautious as most of the stocks are trading at new highs or multi-year highs.

I really like Value Line. I always look up reports on anything I'm looking to buy.
