Up 14% yesterday ... that's pretty nice. Be nice if it could run to .60 or so. That would be another 20%.

Do you think it has more in it. Looks like it, but a lot more volume than usual today.

When I type in the symbol it comes up and says that QEGY is no longer a valid stock, the NEW stock sybol is QEGY.OB

Whats this about? It does this in Yahoo finance but not the other places I check once and awhile.

If your ticker symbol has had letters added to it such as .PK, .OB or .OTCBB, this means the stock has been de-listed and is no longer trading on the exchange on which you purchased it, but rather on the less liquid and more volatile over-the-counter market. More specifically, a .PK indicates that your stock is now trading on the pink sheets, while an .OB suffix or .OTCBB prefix represents the over-the-counter bulletin board. A stock that has been de-listed is like a baseball player who has been sent from the major leagues to the minor leagues. For some reason, the stock is no longer worthy of trading on a major exchange, such as the NYSE or Nasdaq, probably because it failed to maintain the exchange's requirements.

Delisting

The removal of a listed security from the exchange on which it trades. Stock is removed from an exchange because the company for which the stock is issued, whether voluntarily or involuntarily, is not in compliance with the listing requirements of the exchange.

The reasons for delisting include violating regulations and/or failing to meet financial specifications set out by the stock exchange. Companies that are delisted are not necessarily bankrupt, and may continue trading over the counter.

In order for a stock to be traded on an exchange, the company that issues the stock must meet the listing requirements set out by the exchange. Listing requirements include minimum share prices, certain financial ratios, minimum sales levels, and so on. If listing requirements are not met by a company, the exchange that lists the company's stock will probably issue a warning of non-compliance to the company. If the company's failure to meet listing requirements continues, the exchange may delist the company's stock.

Thank you Tux for a great explaination.

I find it strange that Yahoo would inform its visitors that a stock was delisted but the Nasdaq.com doesn't.

Wonderful eplaination, thanks

I've noticed that too ... Yahoo is the only one that will make you type in .OB or . PNK or .BB ... the other sites will tell you, but not make you type it in; they usually have the exchange it's traded on somewhere on the site.

every site tells you one way or another, including nasdaq.
they just dont have that childproof warning screen that yahoo finance does.
a summary quote of QEGY from nasdaq.com clearly states..
Market : OTCBB

nice pick by the way Tux

Glad I could help people make some money! It formed a Marubozo today. It may go higher tomarrow and brake the upper bollinger band.
