Hi all,
Bio: 23 years old, Full-Time Air National Guard Security Forces, $38-40k a year income, Iraq vet, high school is highest level of education and money to burn ;)

I've been very interested in investing for awhile. I have a TSP (401k) account with the goverment which has about $3.5k in three years. I'm going to Europe with the ANG for a couple of months and would like to take alot of books along for reading. Anyone have book suggestions for a novice investor? When I return I will have somewhere in the the neighborhood of $7k to $10k to use for investing. I'd prefer daytrading and short-term investing opposed to anything long-term. Between deployments, I spend alot of time at home and would like to use this time to try stock trading. And before someone says it, no, I'm not scared of losing it all. ;)
Thanks in advance!

Hmm, I just noticed a thread below, "book suggestions", so maybe this a repost of sorts. My mistake!

any of the dummies books (trading, stock market, technical analysis)
any toni turner book (i prefer beginners guide to short term trading)
and jim cramers books are good reads as well, but get the basics in before going for those.
