Home Solutions of America (formerly HOM, now HSOA)

I remember you and I traded this one back in the summer (miserable trade for us both if I remember correctly).
Look at this chart now...

Is that thing trading in a channel or what!

Although today it had a nice little breakout through major resistance in the 6.30 area with increased volume.

Bahroor, this guy's been on a watch a couple months (for the channel) but I've been working other high volume intra day trades.

Look at the setup today! Some divergence there as well. If the NAZ shows the least bit of red, you know which way I'll go.

Bahroor, you seeing this set-up? Got a feeling the opening gap is gonna be a brain teaser for the day's forecast.

haha, I see what you see.. I got in at 6.60 today, and since I won't be at home all day tomorrow, I have a tight trailing stop on this one (10 cents).
I'm thinking I'll get stopped up around 6.75 before 11 AM.

What do you think?

I hate to spend the night holding this one, especially since I won't be here to watch it!

As I said, I've had it on a watch during the channeling, but too busy milking BRCM and QCOM daily (like an ATM machine) to focus elsewhere.

I'm watching for the $1 burst to the short side. However, some things at play show this could have a breakout (insider buys, fundies etc.).

We'll see what the open does. If it can't hold the pivot at 6.63, we'll see if it slices through the 6.43 to the great beyond.

I love these opening conundrums!!

BTW, did you pick up on that overbought AOB? Nice range on it for an intraday short and the high wave candle setup.

Edit: Looking at your prediction for getting stopped out....I think you will hit it within 2 cents IF she runs from the open. Seeing resistance at 6.86. Good call!

Boy Luc, I just looked at the QCOM chart, what a channel. How many times you traded that bad boy? Any chance for it to keep repeating the same way?

I trade it almost everyday. I've started a blog, but not ready to share yet.

I pull stocks that average over 1% daily range and over 5 million shares traded. I intra-day swing them based on a multitude of factors in prep, but price and volume only once the market opens. Those include: BRCM, QCOM, EBAY, SBUX, AMGN, AAPL, NVDA etc., etc.

At 500-2000 shares you can usually squeeze .50 to .75 easily. I say easily in context.....each tick is $20, so a wrong call can become a nail biter and a 20 cent move the wrong way gets painful.

Once you get the rythm of the stock and how it trades...you can feel the breaks coming ESPECIALLY when they channel tighter and tighter intraday.

Take a look at BRCM, QCOM, or EBAY intraday and look for the tight flag or channel. The breakout will usually propel the price (up or down) with momentum. Be careful around support/resistance levels.

I'm rambling.

The intraday volatility and range will continue.....BUT, if it breaks 40, my trading pattern on this may change a bit. Opportunities everywhere.

as predicted, my order was tripped at $6.8101 and sold. this one will pull back some but 7 is coming soon.

did you short this one today Luc1?

oh and I see QCOM broke 40, my crystal ball on target...

happy trading!

Shorted the hell out of QCOM once it lost it's sea legs. I rode it back through 39.86 and took my cash.

I watched HSOA, but buy the time it was set-up to short (afternoon), I was done for the day (made my $). Knew it was coming and the overall market helped it plunge.

Let's see if AMZN can get some steam tomorrow. It will take the NAZ pushing hard to do it, but there's a fifty cent piece in there somewhere. And of course QCOM and BRCM as well (up or down).

Nice call on the HSOA.
