purchase your stocks? I go through sharebuilders and they won't let you buy certain stocks..for example, SWTS,SNAK.

I wanted to get both of those(suggested by TCG) but could not.

I have Ameritrade ... but I might switch to Scottrade, don't know yet. I actually just got an internship with Scottrade so once I start I'll see what I want to do.

I have been complaining that Banc of America charges me too much in trading fees, but they just saved my butt!! They get the best prices for my orders possible and they often do better than my original limit price. Yesterday, I was so tired that I entered a sell for $30.56 for a stock that was selling at $36.56, and they got me the better price, whew!! That could have been a disaster. Well, I guess I won't be bitchin about them, anymore. :o

Can you transfer funds online with Scottrade?

I think you can electronically wire money from bank accounts and stuff, but it needs to be a minimum of $100.

If you are talking about transferring stock, I'm sure anyone can do that.

I think Scott-trade have a $500 minimum.

I'm in the process of transfering from Sharebuilder (good but limited) to Scott-trade at the moment. I'll probably do it gradually over the course of the next few months though - as I sell and buy shares.

Brownco....$5 .....Options commissions are a little high though. $15,000 min. Problem is that they are being taken over by e-trade and the comish schedule will probably go up. Will be looking to move then.
