Hello guys,

I am new to the game and just starting out learning the lingo and trying to anderstand how things work.

Few questions that i dont anderstand:

What is volume? Is that how many people are currently are buying and selling at any given time? Every stock has volume associated with it.

By looking at the graphs on how stock goes up and down during the day i noticed that there is another stock coresponding to it right belove it. And i notice that when the line goes high the stock will also rise, is that line representing the volume of people buying that stock?

EPS (Earnings Per share) Fore example Apple has 5.36 EPS right now. Is that EPS calculated based on 2007 earnings? :p

Thank you for your help.

Volume is simply the amount of shares traded.

I don't understand your second question.

Earnings per share is the amount of earning for the previous 12 months based on the most recent quarterly report divided by the amount of shares outstanding.

He might be refering to the RSI or MACD indicators...just a hunch.

Look up "technical indicators" on google, Lovac.
