NEW YORK----E*TRADE FINANCIAL Corporation today announced results for its third quarter ended September 30, 2008, reporting a net loss of $50.5 million, or $0.09 per share , compared to a net loss of $94.6 million, or $0.19 per share, in the prior quarter and a net loss of $58.4 million, or $0.14 per share, a year ago.
