I have reset the trading simulator for December - the prize for winning is a great trading book. The winner will also have the win displayed under their name in the forum.

If you already played in previous competitions, you already have an account and your can join the December contest with the same username and password by going here (http://www.marketwatch.com/game/otfsimulator-dec-2011). If you have forgotton the game password, which you need to join the December contest, just email me and I will send it to you. (http://www.onlinetradersforum.com/private.php?do=newpm&u=1)

If you are new to the simulator, you can join at anytime. This thread will be used to discuss the game and post updates on the standings.

You start with $100,000 and you can trade stocks long or short. Whoever has the highest amount at the close of trading on Friday, December 30, 2011, wins.

The trading simulator/contest is open only to registered members of this forum. (Registering is free!) (http://www.onlinetradersforum.com/register.php)

Send me a private message (http://www.onlinetradersforum.com/private.php?do=newpm&u=1) and I will send you the link and password for your free sign up.

That happens w/ the new VSE. It kicked me off another game one day and when I tired to get back on the next day my portfolio was gone. Showed I wasn't even part of the game anymore.
I miss the old version and it's not as fun w/ just 3 people. It's hard to make 100-200 trades a day if you aren't in front of the computer most of the day any way so I understand why more don't play. Maybe Thierry could make a seperate monthly contest where you pick X number of stocks (1-5?) and ride them out for the month. Just an idea.

I was up 720k and trying to cover the short for CMED when it crashed...and i was just ahead of you...haha all that hard work to try n beat bellringer :embarassed:

I was actually trying to mimic your style on the simulator with high trade frequency on stocks that have good gaps in entry and exit points..
