I'd surf that, but I've been to Shipstern and there's no way. Shipstern was first surfed in 1997, I was there a few years later and it was unsurfable period. Here's a pic I took in 2003, the rocks are 200 ft high and the waves sometimes break right into the cliff. The back can look relatively small and the barrel can be 16ft and the reef is 3 feet below the surface at low tide.

Here's a good article from the Aussie press titled, "Places to Surf before you die". Just to be safe I'd make this place the last one you try, otherwise you may miss the others.
