I got a bunch of NOKia when I took over managing my dad's portfolio and don't know what to do with it. It's been pretty rangebound over the years and doesn't seem to get any decent traction. I'm thinking about selling NOKia into about $21 if it gets there in the near term and switching over to AAPL, my other tech name. Or, does anyone have a better idea of how to play this situation or another tech name to fill the empty NOKia spot if NOKia's just going to stay lame?
As a sidenote, I'm trying to figure out why NOKia's been such a lamer and if there's any reason to hold onto it. The cashflow and growth seems to be there but it gets no love - I'm thinking because it doesn't GROW marketshare? even though the handset market is GROWING? Is it not enough that the pie is growing but they need to take a bigger piece for people to like it?
My other 2 tech names right now are AAPL and AKAM. I'd appreciate any suggestions to fill the NOKia spot for a short term 3-month trade or a 6-12 month investment. Thanks!
