Seems to me with the lackluster reaction to the bailout, we should see the next level of panic at the FOMC. That would be a 50-100bps cut in the FED funds rate. My guess is it could be today, but is very likely this week.

Agree. My guess would be .50 with strong language for future help. May make the regional banks ( The ones in the IAT ETF ) attractive on today's dip.

Yep. The fed had the opportunity to do this a couple of weeks ago, but held off for just this occurrence.
Wait, did I just say that the fed was actually anticipating this?!? Somebody slap me and throw some cold water in my face.

LOL. But the subprime mess is well contained don't ya know. Anticipation is not on the agenda.
Is this market ugly or what? I need a new hobby.

I think some govt officials bought "mighty" PUTS before this downfall. They might be cashing in big-time...:D
