Newbie here, I have a question. Lets look at Ford before the market opens:
Last 8.39
Bid 8.68
Ask 8.70
In order to get in on a good price should I set my limit order to 8.39 or 8.68 or somewhere in between.
Thanks

Rule of thumb, you shouldn't really buy pre-market, especially on old news. The CEO news change is great if you owned the stock when it was announced. Unless you really believe the news will take the stock higher than the $0.30 it has gone up already.
You should wait approximately 30 minutes to see what the trend for the day will be and how the market mover's and specialist are doing. There's usually a reversal at around 10:00 and so you can get in if you stock is beginning to climb.
