Loved the CEO looser list a few days ago. Another you could consider is the CEO of Kodak. The guy at the Photo store said that Kodak has been brain dead for years.

Problem: Their products are mediocre and unfinished. They are a tech company and don't realize it they are run like a commodity maker. The ubiquitous nature of their product doesn't stop the fact that it uses high tech and needs R&D.

What Happened: They played dead and lost the film business due to the fact they don't understand that this is the age of user involvement. PC & Digital involve the user and give the user cradle-to-grave control of the process. Their film and chemical side needed to make quality home processing units plus cheap high quality transfer to digital printing. The hybrid process is the best - film recording and computer printing all controlled by the user. But no, Kodak missed the user involvement and control aspect so film lavishes and digital stutters as a product.

Kodak missed this and other since they think too big to begin with... all innovation starts small then grows big. Why can't you get a cheap but quality home processor? For Kodak such things are impossible but the tech is there. Why not a camera with interchangeable chips? Why not a camera instead of buying it from Nikon?

Because they are brain dead. Mesmerized by the big numbers of sales they don't see that small startups, example Apple, create the next big market. Get a new CEO with a tech innovation background. Continue the film legacy and develop new digital together. Or be a cry baby and miss out as the Japanese and Europeans do it....
