I just finished watching it. Chilling stuff. Nothing would surprise me with the neocons. I lost 2 friends in the WTC. I still have a tough time watching the video footage. Sunshine is the best disinfectant, all this secrecy in the name of security has scared me from the beginning. All the stuff on the video may be propaganda but the failure of the current administration to be transparent gives me the creeps and puts them in doubt. It's a shame it doesn't worry the flag wavers, I'll bet it would worry Thomas Jefferson and the boys from Philly circa 4 March 1789.

Even if the buildings came down on their own, due to structural defects (I saw a program on PBS that interviewed an engineer, and he said if they had used $0.75 bolts instead of $0.50 bolts, the buildings would not have come down) the whole reaction to the disaster was overblown. Even Bin Laden was surprised that the towers came down. I'm sure more people die every week from car accidents caused by defective parts. How about a war on the car companies?

Of course, it all could be propaganda, but it made more sense than the explanations we got for what occurred. The plane incinerated before it hit the Pentagon is the explanation we get. The buildings were the tallest buildings when they were built, but they were built with defective parts. That is a likely excuse, but not very plausible.

Lou, i'm going to say i strongly disagree with you here.

Governments sometimes grow so fat, bloated, corrupted, labyrinthine in nature that mismanagement and confusion naturally takes over. As if that weren't bad enough, add to this an illegal administration stacked with tunnel-visioned, arrogant, clueless, self satisfing, ethically bankrupt, unaccountable, militarily inexperienced, out of touch w/the public lot of greedy former business people and it's just a recipe for disaster.

Think Enron x1,000 camped out in the White House that's still getting away with it ...



Nice idea to take the passive route and imagine the higher authority is always right and its best not to know details about how "they" protect "us" or that in some way this convoluted mess is actually for our collective good, but at some point you need to stop, examine things, talk with neighbors, trust your hunches. As citizens this is our duty, to ourselves.

... If you think the guy next door is battering his wife or molesting his kids though they'd swear is isn't happening and hide the abuse well, it's still right to doublecheck and have help intervene just to make sure. Even if that guy is a policeman.

We all have to watch out for one another. Government for the people of the people, not the other way around. It starts from the bottom up. There's a lot of middlemen who profit off war through their jobs and justify their actions by seeing themselves as minding-their-own-business patriots, which helps with the overall cover up.(for lack of a better word) The Military and related industries employs a huge portion of our country, and subsidiaries which rely on them. War is good for business for them all, indirectly so i don't see any biting the hand that feeds them, unfortunately. Employees don't have to kill anyone to help the process along, but not questioning is nearly as bad and only lends further authority/quiet support to an already power obsessed facist-leaning cabal. No one dares to say the emperor has no clothes, except the courageous that do.

You're perfectly fine trusting a corrupt government? Is that because it's ours and you might get paid back for thinking critically about what really happened on 9-11? There is no doubt in my mind that explosives made TWC turn into dust. I don't know who did it, but our government seems to be the most likely culprits. They stood the most to gain from it. I'm a doctor, and I have a right to think for myself just as everyone else does. Being a follower of opinion and keeping your views narrow minded is like following a herd of sheeple. It might be wise to look up now and then to see if you trust the herders not to drive you off of a cliff.

What part of the conspiracy videos are dumb? They may be wrong, but I watched the one at the start of the thread, and I didn't see anything dumb in it. A couple of things were a little farfetched, but certainly not as farfetched as invading Iraq because we were in mortal danger from it's terrifying growing power and involvement in terrorism and weapons of mass destruction.

I didn't like thinking the government did it. I read the Popular Mechanics article, so I may have been too eager to blame the government. I'll sleep better tonight without the fear of my government being this corrupt. Thanks!

No one has adequately noted that destroying evidence is a major crime. Guilliani rushed out tons of evidence (remaining steel beam wreckage) for no comprehensible reason. Also, no surveillance video tapes or audio were widely released to the public. Why?

Parroting the party line in this simplistic manner is pretty pathetic for a grown man. A plethora of scholars have investigated each of the incidents you note, and it's never lead to a widespread conclusion that the official story is indeed what happened, done and done. They might write the history books but that doesn't make it the truth. Just makes for nice revisionist history bedtime reading to the kiddies ...

If you're over 30 you are no doubt a product of the now unfashionable patriotic generational belief that independence is a good thing, as is questioning authority and thinking for yourself. Remember all those John Wayne war hero films, laughable anti-communist school films stating blind conformity was inherently bad? Or did you somehow miss out on that cultural evolution?

The most vociferous pro-propaganist apologists always disregard the many plausible doubts, blindly ingoring glaring ommisions or feel compelled to simple discount personal stories of folks that were there who were for some mysterious reason never interviewed by the 9-11 Commission, (unlike yourself living in some out of touch reality geographically far removed from the areas where important things actually happen, namely the WTC attatcks).

Blather on all you want about your uninformed opinion, it's a hollow viewpoint. You offer no reason to continue the dialogue, just try to shut it down with naysaying instead of talking about it, keeping the discussion going. You seem to fancy yourself a rebel by not sharing a contrarian idea, that those who question the official theory are followers, but it's more complex than your little B&W mentality, there are sheeple on both sides, then there's others. 9/11 (8:46 am) - WTC janitor William Rodriguez was working in the basement area of the North Tower when he hears a large explosion from the floors below him seconds before the first plane crashes into the top of the building, rescues a fellow worker who is severely burnt from the blast below, and also hears various explosions from the 20th through the 30th floors included the 34th floor which was completely empty due to a "construction project".


"William Rodriguez worked on the basement level of the north tower and was in the building when the first plane struck his building. "We heard a loud rumble, then all of a sudden we heard another rumble like someone moving a whole lot of furniture," Rodriguez said. "And then the elevator opened and a man came into our office and all of his skin was off."

Rodriguez, who had keys to the elevators, began climbing the upper levels of the tower with a police officer to help trapped people. He saw firefighters weighted with rescue equipment catching their breath on the 39th floor. Rodriguez escaped and said he later saw people who had jumped or fallen from the building embedded in the sidewalk." - CNN (09/12/01)


William Rodriguez, a 9-11 Survivor

William had worked for the New York Port Authority for about twenty years. He was in charge of the three stairwells - A, B and C. His job included the maintenance of the three narrow stairwells in the class "A" building - WTC1, the north tower. Arriving at 8:30 on the morning of 9-11 he went to the maintenance office located on the first sublevel, one of six sub-basements beneath ground level. There were a total of fourteen people in the office at this time. As he was talking with others, there was a very loud massive explosion which seemed to emanate from between sub-basement B2 and B3. There were twenty-two people on B2 sub-basement who also felt and heard that first explosion.

At first he thought it was a generator that had exploded. But the cement walls in the office cracked from the explosion. "When I heard the sound of the explosion, the floor beneath my feet vibrated, the walls started cracking and everything started shaking." said Rodriguez, who was crowded together with fourteen other people in the office including Anthony Saltamachia, supervisor for the American Maintenance Company.

Just seconds later there was another explosion way above which made the building oscillate momentarily. This, he was later told, was a plane hitting the 90th floor. Upon hearing about the plane, he immediately thought of the people up in the restaurant. Then there were other explosions just above B1 and individuals started heading for the loading dock to escape the explosion's resulting rampant fire. When asked later about those first explosions he said: "I would know if an explosion was from the bottom or the top of the building." He heard explosions both before and after the plane hit the tower.

A fellow worker Felipe David came into the office. "He had been standing in front of a freight elevator on sub-level 1 about 400 feet from the office when fire burst out of the elevator shaft, causing his injuries." The skin on his face had been peeled away by the heat of the blast and he was horribly burned on thirty-three percent of his body. "He was burned so badly from the basement explosion that flesh was hanging from his face and both arms."

William asks: "How could a jetliner hit 90 floors above and burn a man's arms and face to a crisp in the basement below within seconds of impact?" William led Felipe David outside to safety. William continued to hear people screaming and returned to the building in spite of police orders. There were people encased in elevators. There were people who needed help.
The firemen made it up to the 27th floor but were exhausted from the burden of their equipment. As William had ascended up the stairwell he, as well as the firemen, had heard explosions from the 20th through the 30th floor. Chunks of the building were falling down all around them and they could literally hear the building coming down. Yet, the firemen continued to climb and give aid. After all, they assumed the fire was isolated at the location where the plane entered.
Strangely, while William was on the 33rd floor he heard lots of very loud noise as if someone was moving heavy equipment and furniture around on the 34th floor. The reason this is interesting is that the 34th floor was completely empty. Elevators did not stop at the 34th floor. It was off limits due to a construction project. He said that this was the first time that he felt fear.
He made it back down to the hole where the front doors used to be before they were blown out. The bottoms of the elevator doors were blown partially open. William Rodriguez saved lives that day. Currently he is attempting to alert the public to what actually happened. He is a courageous witness to those terrible events.

William spent hours testifying before the 9-11 Commission behind closed doors. His testimony as an eye witness does not appear anywhere in the 576 page report. But after all, Bush told us who did it, so why bother to examine the evidence or talk with the witnesses. The only agency that was allowed to investigate the circumstances of the event was FEMA.
The National Institute of Safety and Technology (NIST), an independent investigative group ignored his plea to tell his story. He contacted them four times but never got a response. NIST was funded by the government which gives you a pretty good idea of just how subjective their findings were. They were paid $35 million dollars and the investigation lasted two years.
William Rodriguez also contacted the FBI who never followed up. The media was not interested. CNN spent a day filming and interviewing him at his home but when it was shown the following day it was thoroughly edited. Some reporters have subtly warned Rodriguez to keep quiet as he could jeopardize his life. They said "You do not know who you are dealing with!" He already looked death in the face and he will probably continue to courageously tell his story. He is speaking the truth and he is speaking it for his friends. He says: "I am living on borrowed time since I probably should be dead anyway." William Rodriguez says: "I have tried to tell my story to everybody, but nobody wants to listen. It is very strange what is going on here in supposedly the most democratic country in the world. In my home country of Puerto Rico and all the other Latin American countries, I have been allowed to tell my story uncensored. But here, I can't even say a word." - Conservative Voice (08/25/05)

Mike told him that he had seen nothing. "You didn't see the lights flicker?", his co-worker asked again. "No," Mike responded, but he knew immediately that if the lights had flickered, it could spell trouble. A power surge or interruption could play havoc with the building's equipment.
Mike told his co-worker to call upstairs to their Assistant Chief Engineer and find out if everything was all right. His co-worker made the call and reported back to Mike that he was told that the Assistant Chief did not know what happened but that the whole building seemed to shake and there was a loud explosion. They had been told to stay where they were and "sit tight" until the Assistant Chief got back to them. By this time, however, the room they were working in began to fill with a white smoke. "We smelled kerosene," Mike recalled, "I was thinking maybe a car fire was upstairs", referring to the parking garage located below grade in the tower but above the deep space where they were working.
The two decided to ascend the stairs to the C level, to a small machine shop where Vito Deleo and David Williams were supposed to be working. When the two arrived at the C level, they found the machine shop gone.
"There was nothing there but rubble, "Mike said. "We're talking about a 50 ton hydraulic press ? gone!" The two began yelling for their co-workers, but there was no answer. They saw a perfect line of smoke streaming through the air. "You could stand here," he said, "and two inches over you couldn't breathe. We couldn't see through the smoke so we started screaming." But there was still no answer.
The two made their way to the parking garage, but found that it, too, was gone. "There were no walls, there was rubble on the floor, and you can't see anything" he said.
They decided to ascend two more levels to the building's lobby. As they ascended to the B Level, one floor above, they were astonished to see a steel and concrete fire door that weighed about 300 pounds, wrinkled up "like a piece of aluminum foil" and lying on the floor. "They got us again," Mike told his co-worker, referring to the terrorist attack at the center in 1993. Having been through that bombing, Mike recalled seeing similar things happen to the building's structure. He was convinced a bomb had gone off in the building. Mike walked through the open doorway and found two people lying on the floor. One was a female Carpenter and the other an Elevator Operator. They were both badly burned and injured.
The smoke in the stairwell was constant and at one point, Mike told Arti that he was going to catch a quick breath of fresh air. He walked out into the main lobby of the building, seeing it for the first time.
"When I walked out into the lobby, it was incredible," he recalled. "The whole lobby was soot and black, elevator doors were missing. The marble was missing off some of the walls. 20-foot section of marble, 20 by 10 foot sections of marble, gone from the walls". The west windows were all gone. They were missing. These are tremendous windows. They were just gone. Broken glass everywhere, the revolving doors were all broken and their glass was gone. Every sprinkler head was going off. I am thinking to myself, how are these sprinkler heads going off? It takes a lot of heat to set off a sprinkler head. It never dawned on me that there was a giant fireball that came through the air of the lobby. I never knew that until later on. The jet fuel actually came down the elevator shaft, blew off all the (elevator) doors and flames rolled through the lobby. That explained all the burnt people and why everything was sooted in the lobby."
Mike Pecoraro and Arti made their way out of Tower One and went to Tower Two. They encountered a crowd of people standing outside the tower, not knowing what had happened. Apparently, they had witnessed a fireball come through the lobby after the second airplane had struck that tower, but they were entering directly from the subway underground and had as yet, no idea of what was happening." - The Chief Engineer

I should have made a note to skip down into actually reading the content, not judging it by dumb banner ads and such. There's quality dialogue bounced back & forth between 2 or 3 posters, all offering nitty gritty details regarding the relationships between WTC tentants who appear to be deep 9-11 insiders, it cannot be denied that all of which stood to benefit greatly from the attacks.

Try a novel approach and go back and read it, take maybe 15 minutes to grasp where it leads... skip to the middle past all the beginning crap. The flow of talk was tight, easy to grasp-like reading a book, that's why i presented the link hereOr take the easy route and dismiss it because it's too complex, over your head.Take your pick.

The information i read was just that, sprinkled with a few opinions. Double check against other sources, scrutinize it for yourself. I don't waste time on Radio America (or know anyone that actually listens to it) nor do i take sides (life isnt the 8th grade) or adhere to a tired old left wing/right wing ideology, information is all i'm mining for.

Remember that a true Democracy (not a "democracy") requires it's citizens to be very informed and take personal responsibility. You cannot expect to be given all information, therefor you need to do the work yourself. Most don't, or are too apathetic, lazy and happy to accept a lame digest offered by monopolistic news sources owned by billionaires with an agenda. As for the majority who supposedly rules, ask a few of them if they can find their own state on an unmarked map, or name America's first President. Scary, but they'd sooner offer the name of Paris Hilton's dogs name or could name every movie Tom Cruise has starred in....
