Okay, this is the dumbest yet....but here goes. Chart Guru, I have heard and obeyed several times to your credit and my pocketbook (THANKS!). I am looking over Eag and you said 0.68 would be an entry point. So..... is that when/if it gets back to 0.68 or was that a predicted reversal point. Sorry to ask layman type stuff but I'm in this only a year or so and my portfolio still looks like a yoyo doing tricks.
Thanks!

There is NO such thing as a dumb question! The reason I picked .68 as an entry, is because I want to buy the break out. Notice how it did not come close to .68 today, so there was no reason to buy it. However, it formed a doji today at the bottom of the trend. Load the boat tomorrow! EAG should run to .75 or higher within the next few days. The key is to wait for the right entry. Even if you have to wait for a pull back on the break out. Let other traders take the risk. You sit calmly and wait for the pull back if you don't want to buy it right away. I always like to wait until 10-11AM before buying a stock. That is usually the reversal time frame. A stock that takes off without you will pull back where you can buy it then ride it back up again.

Hey Pierre, I like CBAY in the low teens. EAG is still trending lower but I have it on my watch list. The lower it goes the bigger the bounce. Eght has to hold above .65. If it breaks below .65 it will continue the downtrend.

Thanks Frank! I'll keep checkin in, been too busy this summer, so I can't watch minute by minute so I'll look for an entry next week...

I have EAG on my watch list but I wouldn't buy it yet. EAG hasn't been able to close above the MA(20) for 3 months, so there is no sense in tying up your money. Wait for a move above the ma(20). I would even wait for a confirmed break out when the price touches the upper bollinger band then pulls back to around the MA(20) then you buy EAG on that pull back. So there is still alot of things that EAG has to do before it catches my attention

Thanks Frank, I appreciate your input... unfortunately today is the 1st day I've been able to focus on the minute charts in about 2 month's, so Im a lil rusty... How's the weather in Florida?

The weather here is not bad during the day, except we are getting the rain in the afternoon. I'm looking forward to escape the heat this winter when I'm going to take the family on a trip up the east coast through the Carolinas, Virginia and up to New York for Christmas week :)

Hey Pierre, I see that you are from North Carolina. Please do share info about these real estate deals. I have always wanted to live in North Carolina or at least own property there. What areas are you buying in and what are the property values there? Miami is crazy. The average home here sells for $400,000.

Well... my 1st advice to anyone doing real estate rehabs or " flips " as it's now known, ( I hate that word as it cheapens the concept ) in this market is DON'T... You can and will lose your shirt/pants and jockstrap, unless... of course you know what you're doing and have done it before and have a whole helluva lotta capital and the market is right and the sun and moon are aligned and blah, blah, blah... you get it...
The current real estate enviroment is extremely localized and you had better know what you're doing, cuz the housing inventory glut will kill ya...
How's that for a disclaimer...
Actually, Frank, the area that I moved to, from Maui a year and a half ago,
( talk about making a killing in real estate ), is actually experiencing an incredible building boom. Lots of new homes going for 150-200K and exsisting homes, currently appreciating at about 15% a year, up from about 5% last year... the reason being the BRAC commission's decision to transfer Army command to Fort Bragg... thousands and thousands of new soldiers not to mention thousands of defense contractors all moving to this lil piece of property known as Fayetteville... yeah it's a cesspool of military/white trash/
ghetto/ bling-bling/hip-hop/ single-wide ugliness, but what the heck... at least it's a diverse community...A bunch of us were counting on the Military reassignment and when it was announced months ago, prices shot up like a Jim Cramer reco...
Like I said... unless you know what you're doing and know how to price, you'll probably lose your shirt... lotsa Calif. flippers trying to muscle in, but sorry, margins here are much tighter and 20 % is considered a home run...the good news... ohhh sooo many properties that can be picked up for 40-80K...
Going to a foreclosure auction tomorrow morning @ courthouse........here's one for ya... the last auction I went to, it was just me, Mrs. Pierre and the trustee conducting the auction... the silence was deafening... well that's what I've been doing this summer... I usually go to cash @ beginning of summer and do 1 or 2 house deals... this summer's been good, beats trying to trade w/ridiculous volume, also I love doing the deals especially the rehabs, as I usually pick up more skills and especially more tools...
Seriously Frank, it's good for the investors, if you're looking for vacation property, look at Asheville, much nicer community, diverse population and drop-dead gorgeous, IMHO, it beats Maui, not to mention, we should start seeing a lot more foreclosures in the next 12-18 months...
I'll keep ya in my prayers Brother, lemme know if you're still interested...

Thank you for your reply. Actually, I have heard very positive things about Ashville and I may stop by when we drive up the East Coast in our Christmas vacation. I think Miami is going to have its share of foreclosures and mortgage delinquencies. There is going to be some good buying opportunities next Spring and Summer I believe.

Pierre, funny you mentioning NC in such detail, esp Fayetteville. My folks live maybe
an hour outside, being military my dad commutes there, begrudgingly. Happy to live in
the boons & wouldn't want to be any closer as insiders just know it as FayetteNam(!). lol
Asheville is quite nice, area's around Duke Uni too. Friendly, artistic, easy going, unspoiled environment. Real bright spot in the entire region from what i recall visiting a couple yrs back.
Hope you've had a good summer filling up on proper carolina smoked BBQ. Darn hard
to get that up here! ....drooooool....
