I was wondering what stocks any of you have that offer decent divident yields. I'm thinking of investing a chuck of change for the long term...I just need a good stock. Any suggestions?

Are you looking for a stock or maybe an REIT? The REITs will have a higher yeild. Novastar Financial has close to a 15% yeild (that they have maintained for a few years now) and a stock I held for a while Arizona Land Corp has a 8-9% yeild; depending on what price you buy it at.

If you are looking for stocks a lot of the big banks have taken a beating and companies like Bank of America and Citigroup are looking good (both with a 4% yeild. Utilities have always been known for their yeild (3 - 4%). Some of the big name companies that have taken a beating have a 4-5% yeild (GM, CZN, F, MRK, SBC ect).

Hope that helps

MO (Altria) is the Dividend stock King. It's div. goes up consistently and the stock performs well. I'd suggest you look into it.

FDG is a Canadian Coal company that Cramer suggested awhile ago. I keep a close watch on it and it has a dividend yield of 8%.

DVY is a Dividend ETF or a collection of the best div stocks in the market. It hasn't performed very well because it is overweight with Banks and Financials but if you want a piece of the action from dozens of dividend fat companies give it a look. DVY in the past has done better than SPY or other S&P 500 index funds.

Like said before REITs are also a very good place to look for dividends.
