Where can I go to find a new diet drug that's not yet FDA approved, but I heard it's about to be approved? I'd like to know who makes it and possibly invest in it. I don't have much information, so the FDA site wasn't that helpful.

Thanks!

I don't think it's that one. I heard one was going to be approved in June.

Honestly, there is about a million drugs waiting for approval!!
Where did you hear about it? That will help in finding the source!!
I would love finding a drug/herbal formula that has confirmation on a FDA approval!!
I hate to say it..............Was it on.........Opra???
OOOOOO THAT HURT!!!!!

I heard about it through a friend of mine's mom. She heard it from a doctor. He said he usually don't invest in things like that, but he's heard a lot of good things about it and wants to invest in it. I figured I'd try to see what it is and do my homework on it. I'll see if she can get more information about it.

Now that's a hot tip for ya! Good luck C.A. I'm anxious to hear about this one myself...

The big brokerages have full time staffs of experts working on finding the next big drug before it hits, the FDA is notoriously unpredictable, the clinical and preclinical trials are a series of ascending hurdles any one of which can throw the drug out, the drug companies want to keep the details as confidential as possible, and your friends mothers doctor may be talking out of his hat. Let us know how your homework goes on this.
No offense intended, but your odds are not good. It's not a criticism of you but a matter of competing against really big money players in a wildly competitive arena.

Your best bet for a new drug is to invest into a Pharma company when they are oversold/undervalued. Chances are you will run across a few FDA approvals over the course of a year, and would definately have the opportunity to sell after 1 is announced and buy back into a month later and wait for the same game to start again.

I remember hearing in March that Pfizer was looking to have 2-3 drugs approved this summer if that helps.

This week looks like it might be gearing up big as ASCO, Oncology Conference down in Atlanta going on, with quite a few new renal failure drugs being presented.

I don't know if I could trust a doctor after I got a tip from a Cardiologist about Boston Scientific and J&J's heart stents. He said that they have great stents and that most cardiologists will probably be using them in the next couple of years. Of course, we all know how that played out with the stent recalls.
