Solar Power / Alternative Energy Stocks

Cramer just talked about alt energy stocks spwr, hw, and eslr today and how they're down and ready to bounce back up. SPWR looks particularly appealing to me right now as they seem to be best of breed with the best solar panels on the market today. What are your thoughts on alternative energy stocks? Any small cap stocks that you like? Tell me about them. I think solar power is finally starting to take off with incentives increasing, costs coming down all the time, and technology improving everyday.

Tell me more about XSNX if you would be so kind. They have a patent on a clear thin film solar panel, is that right? And, they're working on a manufacturing building which they hope to license to others? Any idea when this building will be done and if they have a buyer lined up?

Well you know as much as anyone! They had a great run up and everyone was getting very excited about their talk of looking for contracts by april this year. Then there was silence. They then had a release which seemed to be saying they were doing more testing that everyone thought they'd already done. This company is potentially really amazing and potentially a scam! Be careful. Several people on here have successfully traded it, but I really just want to hold some as a big speculative buy for the future. Keep doing your reading!

Agreed. I've made money on this stock. I don't like the recent movement. Seems to be manipulated. I would suggest selling on the news during the second or third day of a runup.
