I need to know if anyone here finds the forum too slow, or slower than other forums you have visited. I need to know because if there are speed issues for some users, I will move to an even faster server. Things are quiet around now, as they are for every market pullback, so now is a good time to get ready for the next bull run. Does anyone else beside me find the forum slower around rush hour, between 4 and 6?

I don't really feel any slowdowns.
Even going back to March, I can't recall a time it was terribly slow.

I wonder if the speed issue I am detecting is related to my internet connection and not the forum.... the feedback from you guys really helps me diagnose this.

Ok today, its been slow. Checked other sites/forums, and they are all good, so I think that rules out my connection.
You asked lol..

Katibel is OK - anyone else see a slowdown today? We never had enough visitors yet today to make a difference, normally.

How would I be able to tell whether it was the forum server or mine? Although I haven't had any trouble so maybe it doesn't matter.

It could be the forum server, your server, the path the data travels between them. There can be dozens of servers between a website and your computer. What I'm trying to find out by asking is whether any slowdowns are caused by our server, because I can do something about that if it is a problem.
Judging from the feedback, it isn't an issue.

Yes, I am responding to surveys and complaints. I want the forum to grow, not repel, and there are many ways to indicate that word without it looking that close to the real thing. Hope this isn't a problem for anyone. We depend on revenue for advertisers to maintain the forum.
