I need to get 800 dollars into a low risk investment. I have set up my scottrade account and I'm ready to do this thing. I have been researching and researching. Where do you think I should put the money? PS. I plan to continue dropping money into the account every so often. As far as I know, some mutual funds on scottrade have no fees to purchase, so obviously I'd prefer one of those!

THANKS!

How do you define low risk? What amount of your principal are you willing to lose if the market goes against you?
If Scottrade has it, look into the CGM Focus Fund CGMFX, it is run by the best Mutual Fund manager in the business, Ken Heebner, and has a track record that is gonna be very hard to beat in up and down markets.
