Hi,
Can anybody tell me if Jim Cramer's 6:00 Mad Money television show is on earlier in the day? I was told he has a 3:00 show (t.v. or radio??) each day which is recorded then replayed at 6:00. Is this true... and is it possible to see his 6:00 show earlier in the day?
Thanks.
A month or so after the show first launched, Cramer did a special segment one day and explained the setup of the show, and brought a cameraman to his side of the desk and showed what was on his monitors, etc. He also explained that the show begins taping at 5:30 each day and thus is effectively on a 30 minute delay. He does this to protect himself and the Network legally. He was investigated by the SEC back in the mid ninties (I think) because he wrote an article for SmartMoney magazine about some stocks that he owned and the magazine neglected to include a disclaimer (like the one at the begining of each MadMoney show). He was never charged with anything, but he said in Confessions that the investigation process made his life miserable. He claims that he has a lot of "enemies" in the mainstream press back from his days a reporter or something and they are always waiting for him to slip up. *shrug* At any rate, Cramer said during this segment that he has 2 lawyers present, one for him and one for the network.
There is a radio show called RealMoney that is recorded daily at 2pm. (I think -- he recently changed the time.) A free audio stream is available sometime around 3 or 4 each day on TheStreet.com . To hear it earlier you might try finding a radio station that streams on the internet that carries the show in an earlier timeslot.
"RealMoney" is also the name of Cramer's latest book.
The only way I think you'd be able to get a jumpstart on seeing the show is if you get a job on the set. :)
