for next week, id rather be on the other side of the fence on this one. imo technology slides and the entire of weak commodities is erased

i'd look for 20.30, 20, then a breakdown

Techs have bottomed out. The QQQQ is heading up. Even Sprint is going higher. Techs are going to close out the year very strong lead by RIMM, AAPL and GOOG will run to $560.

CROX appears to have bottomed. It has positive divergence on the macd and closed above the MA(10). Look for it to go higher on increased volume. Closed at $4.46

i doubt it, we have a ton of economic data coming out this week on wed, thurs, and fri which should signal a continuation of our downward trend. however, we do have support that should keep us above water at least until labor day.

im sure jobless claims will rise 450k and consumer sentiment wil be around 58

also i know that pension funds were indiscriminately buying stocks across the board which probably led to the run up. pensions also held about $300b in commodities which they reduced significantly. im sure all the runs up have been based solely on speculation

On the indexes I think we could definitely get a pullback as we approach resistance at the 50 day SMA which is right about at 1300 on S&P, people like to sell at nice round numbers so it could prove difficult to get much above the level we are at now. I still like the charts on Corning, however.

Tanked this morning on lowered guidance. That explains why it wasn't participating in the rally yesterday morning and sold off so sharply. Intel and other tech names that seemed solid are going down with it.

That's too bad. I almost bought this stock in the mid $20s. But I owned too many tech stocks at the time, so I didn't buy any. They were doing very well in the beginning of the year. I guess the world's economy is slowing down a little.

This thing is killing me. Yesterday it was lagging for no apparent reason, not the earnings warning.. hmmmm....
