EAST BRUNSWICK, N.J.----Savient Pharmaceuticals, Inc. today reported financial results for the three and six months ended June 30, 2008. The net loss for the second quarter of 2008 was $24.2 million or $0.45 per basic and diluted share on total revenues of $0.4 million, compared with a net loss of $9.6 million or $0.18 per basic and diluted share on total revenues of $3.1 million for the same period in 2007.
